Interview: Anthony Boyle on Becoming the Actor John Wilkes Booth in ‘Manhunt’

Everyone knows the name John Wilkes Booth, infamous as the assassin who killed President Abraham Lincoln just after the end of the Civil War. But there’s much more to the story of this man, who was at the time an extremely popular actor. The Apple TV+ series Manhunt focuses not just on Booth but also on Secretary of War Edwin Stanton (Tobias Menzies), who led the charge to find the most wanted man in America.

Awards Buzz spoke with Boyle about what he knew of Booth and the process of learning more about him. He also discussed his busy year with his role on another Apple TV+ series, Masters of the Air, and what he wants to do next.
