Brothers Isaiah and Yassir Lester make their feature directorial debut with The Gutter, a comedy about Walt (Shameik Moore), who discovers an uncanny talent for bowling, and Skunk (D’Arcy Carden), who coaches him to greatness and pushes him to take down champion Linda “The Crusher” Curson (Susan Sarandon).
Awards Buzz spoke with Isaiah and Yassir about their past work together on Making History and the genesis of this project. Watch the video above to hear about the movies that inspired them and their excitement at being able to land Sarandon in their cast.
