In Jeffrey Reiner’s Lake George, Don (Shea Whigham) gets out of prison only to learn that he still owes a debt to mobster Armen (Glenn Fleshler). When he tries – and fails – to pay it off by killing Armen’s girlfriend Phyllis (Carrie Coon) for him, he finds an unexpected new ally in a quest to stay alive and find some sort of meager happiness, whatever that might resemble.
