On FX’s What We Do in the Shadows, vampire Nandor (Kayvan Novak) has always sought a return to the glory and war-waging he so loved centuries earlier but couldn’t find in his much more muted present-day Staten Island existence. His relationship with his housemates and particularly his familiar, Guillermo (Harvey Guillén), has changed and evolved over time as he’s started to learn just a bit about how to operate in a modern world.
Awards Buzz spoke with Novak about relating to Nandor and perfecting his accent. Watch the video above to hear about whether he feels playing this part for so long will affect the kind of roles he’ll be offered when the phone eventually starts ringing.
