Interview: Sam Neill on Connecting with a Gruff Patriarch in ‘Apples Never Fall’

Two-time Emmy nominee Sam Neill has had a formidable career, with highlights including the Jurassic Park franchise, The Piano, and roles in TV series like Peaky Blinders and The Tudors. Neill’s latest stint on the small screen, Apples Never Fall, finds him opposite Annette Bening as a husband and father of four grown children who ends up as the prime suspect in his wife’s murder following her disappearance.

Awards Buzz spoke with Neill about his process of relating to the character and working with such a great ensemble cast.
