Interview: Skeet Ulrich on Being Drawn into the World of ‘Parish’

Skeet Ulrich has been a mainstay of film and television for years, best known to many for playing Billy Loomis in the 1996 film Scream and more recent sequels. He was also the lead in the 2006 series Jericho, which only lasted two seasons but inspired a mass fan movement to save it from cancellation. His newest role puts him directly opposite Emmy nominee Giancarlo Esposito, in the AMC series Parish.

Awards Buzz spoke with Ulrich about the appeal of this New Orleans-set series and what it’s like to work with Esposito. Watch the video above to hear how he views his most famous roles and especially how he feels about the legacy of Jericho.

Skeet Ulrich is eligible for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series at this year’s Emmy Awards. Season one of Parish is available to stream on AMC+.
