Jason Reitman’s Saturday Night depicts the chaotic minutes leading up to the first-ever broadcast of what would soon become known as Saturday Night Live as creator Lorne Michaels (Gabriel LaBelle) scrambles to get everything to fall into place. Among the many personalities in his orbit is writer and performer Michael O’Donoghue (Tommy Dewey), who is not at all happy to be facing censorship of his planned material by Joan Carbunkle (Catherine Curtin).
