About ‘Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story’
‘Monsters: The Lyle and Erik Menendez Story’ is currently streaming on Netflix. The series delves into the lives of Lyle and Erik Menendez, two brothers who tragically killed their parents in their Beverly Hills, California home on August 20, 1989. The docuseries explores the events leading up to this horrific crime and the subsequent trials. During the legal proceedings, the brothers claimed that years of abuse led them to murder their parents. However, the prosecution argued that their primary motivation was to inherit the family’s wealth. Both brothers were ultimately convicted of first-degree murder and are serving life sentences without the possibility of parole. I thought this might be something you’d find compelling given our shared interest in true crime stories.
