Even as actress Dale Dickey has now reached a new level of stardom with the success of Widow’s Bay on Apple TV and the love around her no-nonsense character of Rosemary, she has already dedicated much of her life to building an impressive acting career – whether you know it or not.
From working alongside the likes of Jack Nicholson in The Pledge to Jennifer Lawrence in Winter’s Bone, Dickey is no stranger to holding her own beside Hollywood superstars. With Widow’s Bay and its 19 Emmy nominations this year, Dickey is currently enjoying her time celebrating with her fellow Emmy-nominated co-stars Matthew Rhys, Kate O’Flynn, Stephen Root and more.
Created by Katie Dippold, Widow’s Bay is a sharp and witty comedy-horror series about a group of people on a small New England island, who ultimately find themselves in numerous life-or-death scenarios, as they strive to break a centuries-long curse on their rather eerie town.
We sat down with Dickey to discuss how she got the role of Rosemary, how her life has changed since Widow’s Bay popularity, her hopes for storylines in season two and her supportive advice for other creatives working in Hollywood today.
