In 2015, Daredevil began its three-season run on Netflix, chronicling the dual identity of Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), a blind lawyer who moonlights as the masked vigilante Daredevil. His key nemesis Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio), also known as Kingpin, has since appeared in Hawkeye and Echo, and now returns along with Murdock in Daredevil: Born Again, which seems him elected as Mayor of New York City and set on getting things done, no matter the cost.
Awards Buzz spoke with D’Onofrio about the appeal of coming back to do this show and tapping into Fisk’s physical rage. Watch the video above to hear how he feels Fisk sees himself and how D’Onofrio looks back on some of his formative roles, including Law & Order: Criminal Intent and Men in Black.
