In Kate Beecroft’s East of Wall, Tabatha (Tabatha Zimiga) and her daughter Porshia (Porshia Zimiga) live on a ranch and spend their days tending to her horses and their nights performing elaborate routines to sell them at auction, desperate to find some source of income to sustain them.
Awards Buzz spoke with Kate, Tabatha, and Porshia about the way they met and decided to create this docufiction film where Tabatha and Porshia play versions of themselves. Watch the video above to hear about their collaborative filmmaking experience and whether Tabatha and Porshia have plans to act again in the future.
