About ‘Percy Jackson & The Olympians’
The action-packed television series ‘Percy Jackson & The Olympians,’ based on Rick Riordan’s books, renewed for a season 2 is now premiering on Disney+ as of December 10, and the series received a Season 3 renewal earlier this year, March 2025.

The show will follow Rick Riordan’s The Sea of Monsters, in which Percy goes on a quest through the titular location to rescue Grover — who has gone on his own mission to search the sea for the god Pan — from the Cyclops that trapped Odysseus back in the day. At D23 2024, Riordan, Scobell and co-stars Leah Sava Jeffires and Aryan Simhadri teased key scenes from the book that will likely make it into season 2 like Grover’s wedding dress, Percy and Annabeth’s romance and more.
Daniel Diemer has joined the cast as Percy’s half-brother, Tyson, a Cyclops who shares Poseidon (Toby Stephens) as a father. Tamara Smart will portray Thalia Grace, daughter of Zeus, and Andra Day has been cast as Annabeth’s mother, the goddess Athena. Undoubtedly, Daniel Diemer was the perfect person to play the character Tyson in Season 2 of “Percy Jackson and the Olympians.” To bring the iconic Cyclops to life on the Disney+ series, Diemer had his eyes and eyebrows scanned thousands of times. This detailed process allowed the production team to use computer-generated imagery to create Tyson’s single eye and signature monobrow.
