Interview: Holliday Grainger on Everything She Loves about ‘The Capture’ and What Fans Should Expect from Season 3

In season three of The Capture, Rachel Carey (Holliday Grainger) has risen in the ranks and is now in charge of the operation designed to combat Correction, but when she sees something with her own eyes only to be told that something entirely different has transpired, she realizes that the conspiracy to deploy false information has only grown stronger.

Awards Buzz spoke with Grainger about how much she relates to Carey and whether they’re anything alike:

“I’m nothing like her, and I think that’s probably what I like about her. I love how badass and single-minded she is and how she doesn’t take any prisoners and she doesn’t need to be liked. She just kind of gets on with it and she’s not a people-pleaser. I think that’s what I really enjoy about her.”

She certainly doesn’t share her character’s understanding of and use of technology:

“I am so paranoid about technology anyway. I just remember my mom always saying, don’t write anything down that you wouldn’t want everyone to read. I just get scared to even go on social media in case I do something wrong because I’m so bad with technology. So I’m so, so analog in terms of my consumption of tech. I’m not on any social media. I don’t use AI. I need help if I buy a new iPad. I need help setting it up. I’ve got to go around to my mates to show to show me how, which is very far away from the world that Carey is in.”

Watch the video above to hear what existing fans of the show should anticipate in season three and whether she’d like to continue playing this character for the foreseeable future if the opportunity presented itself.

The first three seasons of The Capture are streaming on Peacock.
