Interview: John Larroquette on Entering the Next Chapter of ‘Night Court’

John Larroquette won four consecutive Emmy Awards during the original run of NBC sitcom Night Court before taking himself out of contention in 1989 to give others the chance to shine. Now, he’s back in the third season of revival of the show of the same name, delivering one-liners as he defends both the innocent and the guilty every night in Manhattan Criminal Court.

Awards Buzz spoke with Larroquette about how he’s feeling now with the show reaching a new audience and still delighting fans of the original. Watch the video above to hear his excitement at sharing scenes with Wendie Malick and his most frequent costar, Melissa Rauch.

New episodes of Night Court premiere weekly on Tuesdays at 8:30pm on NBC beginning Tuesday, November 18th.
