Kaley Cuoco is best known to TV audiences as Penny from The Big Bang Theory and Cassie on The Flight Attendant, and her latest role yet again finds her leaning into the comedy with a murderous twist. In Peacock’s Based on a True Story, Cuoco plays Ava, who, along with her husband Nathan (Chris Messina), finds out her plumber (Tom Bateman) is a serial killer and chooses not to turn him in but instead to make a podcast where listeners will have the ultimate inside track.
