Hysteria! takes place in the small town of Happy Hollow. After the disappearance of the star quarterback, hints of the occult and supernatural occurrences arise, and the suspicion of the dark forces of heavy metal becomes the culprit as Satanic Panic sets in.
Peacock’s eight-part series, based on the real-life 1980s phenomenon, was created by Matthew Scott Kane and produced by David A. Goodman. All eight episodes of Hysteria! will drop on Peacock on Oct 18. USA Network and Syfy will simulcast the first episode on October 18, with USA Network airing episodes each Friday.
