The first Wicked won this prize last year. The original Tron was nominated in 1982. No previous Avatar, Downton Abbey, Frankenstein, or Knives Out films have been recognized in the past. The only Marvel movies ever nominated in this category are Black Panther and Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. The Critics Choice Awards chose Hamnet, Hedda, Kiss of the Spider Woman, Sinners, and Wicked: For Good, with Frankenstein taking home the prize. Foreign-language possibilities include The Secret Agent, Kokuho, and Nouvelle Vague, while Marty Supreme, The Testament of Ann Lee, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps could also get traction.
